Final words about card counting

Counting cards is not a spigot to a money machine. Profitable counting is hard work and it takes a big bankroll. $10,000 is the minimum necessary before the law of averages consistently returns $60 perhour. Bad luck can still put a card counter out of business. Sloppy counting, missing a few hands, and guessing are worse than forgetting the count and playing basic strategy. And, of course, dealers and pit bosses are always looking for counters.
So if you decide to count cards, don't do it for the money. Do it for the pleasure of counting, and bet responsibly. What you do inside your brain is your business, and the casinos will never know and never care unless you try to make a killing.
