Multiple Deck Strategy Tables | |
| The strategy
tables which appear on pages 74-85 are designed to approximate optimal strategy
decisions in single deck blackjack. A simple modification enables the user
to employ them for multiple deck play. The discussion in the middle of page
72 and in Appendix B, page 95, indicates that what is necessary is a revised
set of 11th column figures for full deck favorability in whatever number
of decks might be in use. To avoid different tables for different numbers of decks, the following tables present the appropriate 11th column figures for infinite deck play. Then the method of interpolation by reciprocals can be used to infer the appropriate 11th column figure for the number of decks assumed in play.
